Interior design, approached like architecture
Spatial design studio · South Wales · Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan & Gower
Most homes have a version of the same problem: the layout made sense to someone at some point, and nobody’s questioned it since. A room that’s never quite right. A flow that creates friction every single day. A house that looks fine but doesn’t feel like it works.
forma seventy nine is an interior design studio in South Wales. We help homeowners understand why, and what to do about it.

About the studio
forma seventy nine is a spatial design studio based in South Wales. We work with homeowners who want to understand their home before they change it — how it’s put together, how it could work better, and what’s worth doing.
The studio is led by Ana Carolina Taylor, who trained as an architect in Brazil before completing a Masters in Interior Design in the UK. She is an associate member of the British Institute of Interior Design.
The work is rooted in spatial logic: how rooms connect, how light moves, how a house performs as a home. Materials matter — not as decoration, but as part of how a space feels and endures. Getting the structure right is also the most sustainable thing you can do — a well-designed home needs less fixing, less replacing, and less second-guessing.

How we work
Not sure where to start?
Most people aren’t. A conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If it feels like the right fit, we’ll take it from there.
